Here you can find my favorite free SEO software and SEO tool I use daily.
I use following free SEO software and services:
1. StatCounter or Google Analytics (Services)
These are the first and most important free tools I use to get an ideas:
-how many visitors do you have or had in the past
-where people are coming from
-what are recent search queries
-what are your popular (and unpopular) pages
2. SEO Quake – Free Firefox Plug-in (Software)
This is a good example of very useful and nice free SEO software. I have SEO Quake installed in my FireFox as a plugin. I use SEO Quake to check Google Page Rank, Alexa Rank and to measure a keyword density of my webistes as well as to research competitors in SERP.
3. Google Adwords Keyword Tool (Service)
This tool Google created to enspire you to use AdWords service. But it is priceless source of ideas how to optimize the ranking of your website.
This is a really good tool to find all the popular keywords and get idea of what people type in in the search line when they are looking for something

There is a whole science about how to use it. I am going to explain how I use it in the future keywords and page optimization sections.
About me
I created my first website in 1997. I made it just for fun. Most of web page that time had URLs like “www.provider.com/~user”. The site was about the software I developed at work. The website became quite popular, and I had many visitors without any efforts.
That time I worked as a software engineer and had quite a typical career. At age 25 I was promoted to a project manager. At age 28 I became a member of the board. 2 years after I decided to quit and start my own small business.
First month of my small business I faced a big problem. How to show my product to the world? This way in 2004 I came to search engine optimization. In compare with 1997 it looked almost impossible to promote the software without understanding how search engines work. SEO and SEO software became a part of my life.
Now in 2009 I managing 3 own websites (not SEO nor SEO software related) and a few software products which I believe are quite useful and help many people.
I think my main skill in my life is a possibility to distinguish a bad software anda bad user interface (and software – user interactions) from good ones.
So this way I decided to share some experience and tricks.
This way I created a “Seo Software Review” website.

The Idea behind “Seo Software Review”
I want to test existing free SEO software and services as well as and paid ones and use as an example and a test dummy this one and 2 other websites I operate.
I am going to report all progress I made. It is a clean start from 0 search positions.

Choose between doing search engine optimization yourself by using any search engine optimization software and hiring a reputable SEO company depends on several factors, including budget constraints, expert knowledge, the promise of excellent results and the opportunity to learn a marketable skill. This article discusses the merits and pitfalls of both approaches.
SEO Company
- Let the experts do their job. People who make a living out of search engine optimization are bound to be better at it than someone who is armed only with a few manuals and a trial version of some SEO software.
- Experience is very important when it comes to SEO. Knowing what works and what doesn’t gives SEO experts and companies the edge over beginners like us.
- They work full-time on this. Compare that to an average person who probably cuts into his family or ‘down’ time to work on his website’s SEO.
SEO Software
- Cost-effective solution in conditions of world economical crisis.
- Software cuts down on the repetitive tasks through automating many processes.
- Manages keyword research easily and quickly.
- Organized records of your results – keywords, websites linking to you, and much more.
- You can spend the time saved from automation to research SEO techniques and learn more.
Final Verdict
Search engine optimization, despite being a long-term and comprehensive process, is relatively straight-forward and simple to understand. There’s no trick or special skills involved. You follow the steps, you keep in touch with latest developments and you’re bound to get it right. You may not get to the top anytime soon, but with time your hard-work will pay off rich dividends in the form of heavy search engine traffic to your website.
